What is ANWB?

The objective of the association is to further the interests of its members in the areas of recreation, tourism, traffic and transport, all in the broadest sense.

What does ANWB do?

  • When promoting the interests of the members, wherever necessary, a commitment is made to maintaining and improving the quality of natural habitats and the environment, as well as preserving sites of scenic beauty and of cultural or historic importance;
  • As part of the ANWB, the Public Policies Department is responsible for monitoring the promotion of the collective interests of ANWB members and for ensuring that the ANWB, as the largest association in the Netherlands, follows socially responsible policies;
  • In accordance with the objective set out above, the Public Policies Department is responsible for, and can be approached about matters such as international conservation.
