FPPPH
The Foundation for the Preservation and Protection of the Przewalski Horse

What is FPPPH?
The foundation works to stimulate, execute and fund activities which contribute to the preservation of Przewalski horses as species and to their conservation in the wild; including the sustainable management of the steppe ecosystem of Mongolia into which they have been reintroduced since 1992.
What does FPPPH do?
- To stimulate research on the Przewalski horses;
- To give information world-wide on the Przewalski horses and the different projects (publications, exhibitions, the subscriber's "Przewalski Horse" magazine, web-site, etc.)
- To continue to execute different projects like: a breeding programme for Przewalski horses in nature reserves in the Netherlands and in Germany until 2001;
- To execute, in co-operation with the Mongolian Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (MACNE), the Biodiversity Conservation Project of the Hustai National Park in Mongolia, financed by the Dutch government until 2003;
- A reintroduction project for the Przewalski horse as restoration of the original mountain steppe ecosystem (FPPPH generates funds) until 2003.
