What is the ministery of ELI?
The ministery works on conservation, restoration, development and sustainable use of nature, natural resources and landscape are the main objectives of the government policy for nature management and biodiversity. The mission statement is: "Nature for People and People for Nature".

What does the ministery do?
Wide range of policy actions with regard to legislation, financing, information, participation and management to facilitate implementation of objectives. Cooperation with other authorities, organisations and civil society is a key element. International agreements, such as the Convention on Biological Diversity, provide an important framework for national and international activities.
