What is The Trésor Foundation?

The Trésor Foundation, a charity linked with Utrecht University, aims to conserve and protect the rainforests in South America, through concrete projects such as the protection of the Trésor Nature Reserve in French Guiana. The Trésor Foundation aims at combining active conservation with education: science is the basis of knowledge; and only through knowledge can we start to care.

What does The Trésor Foundation do?
The Trésor Rainforest Project, which concerns the active protection of 4000 ha's of rainforest and wet savanna in French Guiana, is carried out under the auspices of Botanic Gardens Conservation International. Representatives of science work together with trade and industry to conserve nature.
