The Zoogdiervereniging works to stimulate the study and the protection of mammals in the Benelux

What does the Zoogdiervereniging do?

• Collect data on the distribution and populations of wild mammals in the Benelux;
• Advise governments, water-authorities, landowners etc. on the protection and management of wild mammals;
• Organise meetings for members and non-members about wild mammals, their behaviour, ecology, management, census techniques, etc;
• Organise field excursions and surveys where data on mammals of a certain area are collected, both for members and non-members;
• Publication of two magazines about the study and protection of wild mammals;
• Publication of brochures, books, reports, etc. about wild mammals in the Benelux, their ecology, taxonomy, behaviour, population growth, etc.
