IUCN NL Small grants for the Purchase of Nature (SPN) enables local partners to take direct action and save nature. SPN provides funds for the purchase and protection of threatened wildlife habitats and vulnerable ecosystems. Over 22.000 hectares are secured all over the world.

10 years of saving species
Tropical forests, wetlands and other wildlife habitats are crucial for the survival of endangered species like parrots, poison dart frogs or orchids. The IUCN NL land purchase programme has supported over 50 local organisations to safeguard and manage threatened nature in 30 countries all over the world.
