Workinggroup The Hague

The IUCN Workinggroup The Hague provides an informal platform on issues related to international environmental affairs and nature conservation and the associated political, economical and social dilemmas. The agenda of the working group covers items that are or, according to IUCN NL, should be on the political agenda in the Netherlands.

The closed lunch sessions of the IUCN Workinggroup The Hague are held four times per year and are intended for members of parliament, representatives of governmental departments, business, academic institutions and non-governmental organizations. The sessions are governed by the Chatham House Rule, which prohibits quoting participants in reports from the sessions, intended to stimulate an open and frank debate.

The workinggroup the Hague is chaired by Mr. Alexander Rinnooy Kan

The venue of the working group sessions is Societeit De Witte or Perscentrum Nieuwspoort. Participation is on invitation only.
