Dutch Agro-Water Climate Alliance
The Dutch Agro-Water Climate Alliance unites companies, NGOs and governments to support business cases that counter causes and impacts of climate change. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. It is closely interlinked with issues such as water, food and energy security. Governments are committed to mobilize private sector finance in order to support climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives in developing countries.
The Dutch Agro-Water Climate Alliance (DAWCA) helps companies in the water and agrofood sectors to search for new ways to reduce climate-related risks in their value chains and to access climate finance. Initiatives are prioritized that strengthen the role of ecosystems and local communities in climate change adaptation. DAWCA works with individual or groups of companies. DAWCA receives financial support from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
