IUCN and the French government made this decision to ensure the safety of participants and visitors of the event. They remain fully committed to making the World Conservation Congress a major event for nature conservation and the development of a new global framework for biodiversity.

During  the World Conservation Congress, IUCN NL will open its own Pavilion, where Dutch IUCN members and our partner organizations can present their work.

About the IUCN Congress

The IUCN Congress  brings together the global nature conservation community, including top international experts in conservation science, policy and practice. Held every four years, the Congress allows IUCN’s 1400 member organisations, including States, civil society and indigenous peoples, to democratically determine the most pressing issues in nature conservation and actions to address them.
