Johan van de Gronden new chair IUCN NL
Johan van de Gronden is the new chair of IUCN NL. He takes over the role of Nanno Kleiterp, who led the foundation since 2013. Van de Gronden (54) joined IUCN NL's board one year ago as vice-chair.
“In light of his managerial experience and his extensive experience in international conservation, Johan is the right candidate for taking over the position of chair”, says Theo Verstrael, IUCN NL's secretary. “We are delighted that Johan is willing to take on this role on top of his job as director of PUM.”
Since 2016 Van de Gronden is CEO of PUM senior experts (PUM), a voluntary organization focused on achieving sustainable growth of small business in developing countries. Prior to joining PUM, he held the position of CEO of WWF-NL for ten years.
