If you encounter any technical difficulties with ConservationGrants, please email <a href=\"mailto:conservationgrants@conservation.org\">conservationgrants@conservation.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical scope of the call<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<p>CEPF is looking for proposals focusing on the following Investment Priorities as part of Strategic Directions 3 and 4 as detailed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cepf.net\/sites\/default\/files\/cepf-ecosystem-profile-madio-2022-en-2.pdf\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cepf.net\/sites\/default\/files\/cepf-ecosystem-profile-madio-2022-en-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the ecosystem profile<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<p><strong>Strategic Direction 3<\/strong>: Strengthen the capacity of local communities and civil society at regional and local levels to enhance adaptive capacity and reduce exposure to climate change risks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Investment Priority 3.1<\/strong>: Strengthen the technical, administrative and financial capacities of local CSOs with missions related to the environment and the fight against climate change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Investment Priority 3.2<\/strong>: Promote exchanges and partnerships (at the national and regional levels) among CSOs working in priority KBAs, to strengthen technical, organizational, management and fundraising capacities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<p><strong>Strategic Direction 4<\/strong>: Support research and ensure the dissemination of results for the promotion and improvement of knowledge on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) actions and related good practices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Investment Priority 4.1<\/strong>: Support applied research activities that improve understanding of the role of specific ecosystems and test the effectiveness of promising EbA techniques.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n                        \n        <div id=\"block_106f71f5957e1b59a7ebf3d7b6b92a56\" class=\"grid-group block  small-12 medium-12 large-offset-2 large-8\">\n\n        <a name=\"\"><\/a>\n\n        <div class=\"grid-group__in\">\n            \n\n<div class=\"background background-preset-primary\" id=\"block_4eb56575e7b06a5955b5342a5c094f9b\">\n             <div class=\"dark custom-padding-top\">\n    \n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<p><strong>Online information sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block block-container small-12 large-offset-1 large-10\">\n<p>Online information sessions were held on 21 and 22 June 2023 to inform all prospective applicants and provide the opportunity to ask questions.&nbsp;The sessions were recorded. Coordinated by IUCN NL and with SAF\/FJKM as regional team lead, the RIT includes SAF\/FJKM for Madagascar, ID-ONG for Comoros, FORENA for Mauritius and SeyCCAT for Seychelles. These organizations are working with CEPF to implement a five-year conservation strategy for the hotspot and build local civil society capacity.
