Marianne de Beer | Communications Manager

Marianne de Beer is a communications professional working on a wide range of IUCN NL’s projects. In 2018 she started as an intern at IUCN NL, and since then she has been part of the communications team. In her work, Marianne combines her drive for nature conservation and climate justice with her enthusiasm for storytelling through copy and images.

In 2021, Marianne obtained a master degree in Environment and Resource Management. She wrote her thesis for IUCN NL about the consequences of COVID-19 for the food security and resilience of an Indigenous community in Bolivia that lives next to one of the largest nature reserves in the region.
